Working as an entrepreneur enables me to work out my own ideas mostly involving web-based and mobile applications. As with all my work usability and user-experience are the topmost priority as well as trying to make use of the most cutting edge technologies out there.

Besides awesome projects I myself come up with, I am also available for app development, consulting and training and 'all else' development.

I'm a software engineer at Microsoft from the Netherlands. After years of experience working with Azure, ASP.NET, DevOps, Xamarin and other .NET technologies, he has been involved in a number of different projects and has been building several real-world apps and solutions.

Not only does he like to code, but he is also passionate about spreading his knowledge - as well as gaining some in the bargain. Gerald involves himself in speaking, providing training sessions and writing blogs (https://blog.verslu.is) or articles, answering questions on Stack Overflow and contributing to open-source projects in his spare time.

Besides just writing code, I also try to share my knowledge through my blog, YouTube channel, public speaking and writing books and articles. Because of all these activities for the community, Microsoft awarded me with the Microsoft MVP award hired me on the Xamarin.Forms team.

Right now I'm mainly focussing on creating apps, especially by the means of Xamarin and everything that has to do with it. But an app is not complete without a proper backend, right? So, I'm not afraid of some ASP.NET (Core) or other web applications. I also like to tinker around with all kinds of other things, like continuous delivery and continuous integration, everything Azure, a little bit of AI, etc. Have a look at my GitHub account for some of my work at a glance.
